This photo wasn't possible just a few years ago. It is taken across what is now a field of grass and used to be part of The Pavillion @ Myrtle Beach on the strip. The new boardwalk is just off frame to the right and another 100 ft. puts you in the waves of the Atlantic. The illuminated arms of a human slingshot and the full circle have replaced the small amusement park that was. The plan was a high rise hotel or condominiums but all that remains is a vast, dark emptiness.

I personally miss The Pavillion. Many good memories of days gone by; this place will never be the same.

Mani I miss the pavillion, but I love me some duffy's and the bowery on fri nights. that place has changed so much in the past 10 years!

I sure miss the Pavillion too. It sure beats the large empty field that is there now. It was good times and the center of the strip. I miss cruising by it every time I am there.
